West Indies Won the ICC T20 World Cup T20 2012 against Sri Lanka

One of the fiercest contenders in the ICC World Cup T20 2012 is South Africa. The South African team is undisputedly one the very best teams in the world of cricket. The team has been playing the shortest version of the game for a very long time now and has gotten extremely competent in this form of cricket.South Africa had hosted the first edition of the series but was unable to win the series. However, this season, the team looks incredibly in shape with AB de Villiers who is an extra ordinary batsman at the same time.

The team has few of the best bowlers in the world along with a good batting lineup that makes them a well-balanced team.South Africa is one of the most respected teams in the world of cricket. They are considered as one of the most aggressive teams after Australia. However, in some occasions, even Australia had been unable to match up to the raw aggression and sheer cricketing talent of this team. The team is yet to win a major world series but has produced some of the most incredible players the world of cricket has ever seen.South Africa is expected to do well in the upcoming ICC World Cup T20 2012 because at this point of time, the team is in a number 2 position in the rankings of the International Cricket Council of the world with a rating of 1468.

However, the performance of the South African cricket team has not been very impressive in the last three editions of the world series of the ICC T20 cricket but the team has been doing really well in other tours throughout the seasons and so they are expected to rise up once again in the ICC World Cup T20 2012. Gary Kirsten will be coaching the team.
